When I saw the towers fall
I shook down to my soul
'thought HATE WAS all powerful
Watched fear take control (I???)
Didn't know what to do
what's this world coming to
I felt small and alone

Life didn't make sense no more
I had to find the man
who always put things in a way
That makes me understand
Dad said don't you worry son
Powerful they are not
They're just a bunch of punks who got in their cheap shot and...

While they distrust, we all blend
If we turn to our neighbor we'll see we're in it together and

Mom said don't you mind the cowards
They only know how to obey
Look at the heroes running towards
Everyone running away.
And no one asks if they
Are redneck or liberal
We have so many people
Tryna save every soul... that's why

When we step into the light, ready to do what's right then

They think fear will divide us Turns out that isn't true (WASN'T TRUE)
The American Family comes together
They have hatred, while I have you
I need my father's guts
I need my mother's heart
Let our differences make us stronger
So we don't rip apart cause...
