Christian genre song (Steven Curtis Chapman style maybe). Would be great as worship music or contemporary radio. It's a bit long, and this format is 2 verses, chorus, 2 verses, chorus. So probably more tailored for worship music
It's a conversation with God. My prayer and His reply. I am a pretty informal pray-er so the "Daddy" in this song is me talking to God the Father as a child of God. I think it's important to be able to have that personal relationship and sometimes when I pray I say Daddy instead of Father. In fact the working title to this song for a very long time was "Daddy" Or "Daddy (Do you have a minute?)"
I actually wrote this the night before the entire country went into Covid lockdown in March of 2020. Fear of the unknown was driving everyone to do crazy things (like hoarding toilet paper) and there was just so much uncertainty as to what would happen next.
I hope you'll take the time to listen to the entire song so you can understand the importance of verse 3&4 in God's reply and I hope it hits you in the heart like it does me every time. It probably needs to be cut down in length, but really ... how do you cut God off when he's talking to you,
This song is in need of a Christian movie to be featured in 100%
The artist on this song is Tim Letsch. I did the lyrics and Tim Letsch did the piano melody and vocals. He is the same artist on the Christmas song "Empty Chair" that you picked up recently. He pastors a local church and also leads the worship team... as well as gigging in a couple very popular regional bands from the Tyler, Texas area. Production for this song was done at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas.
