It will be a song about divorce and helping children know they do not have to get in the middle of grownup issues and it is not their fault when parents divorce.
Pervious Note:
The lyric is getting closer to completion, but may still need another edit or two before I begin working on the music. This song will be uptempo, with maybe a few diminished chords, or minor chords to emphasize words, but then quickly return to major chords to maintain an upbeat tone. As we discussed, it will be a part of a project on Healthy Families, Adjustment, and Family or Childhood Wellness. The other song about divorce will be the idea about "packin' up again," and the stress a child feels going between houses. I know there are many song themes that could be included in this type of project, even if it results in just an album of children's songs, it will be helpful. The trick is always how to market something like this even if you know it has valuable information, and if the songs turn out good.
We'll see if the "Excuse Me" song fits into the overall project or if that is a separate project, about being a "Good Person" or "Getting Along." in that case, I could do a song about how to deal with bullies, being cooperative, not wanting to do homework, not fighting with siblings, listening to parents, understanding neurodiversity, what it feels like to be "different" and other childhood issues. We'll see where this all goes.
