I’ve learned that time ain’t always kind
Now, her hair has all turned to white
She sits in the same chair every day
Sleeping or staring into space
We just had the same conversation
That we had yesterday
But bring up John 3:16
And she can quote the whole thing

She may not remember her own name
Her address, phone number or birthday
And every time she sees me, She says, “It’s nice to meet ya”
But there’s one thing I find comfort in
She still knows who Jesus is
