Backstory:
I am wanting any kind of feedback but specifically:
1.Balancing images with straight talk
2. Phrasing
3. Prosody
4. Palace of what the images communicate
5. use of diff 2nd chorus in light of this being a “list type” song
6. If images are in the best place/sequence
Lyrics:
This Poem (bpm:110)

(v1)
Wanted to buy you a card to prove I’m romantic
But it’s not Valentines so they’re/it was harder to find
(It) didn’t need to play a song or be gigantic
Just say in less than five dollars what’s on my mind
So instead I wrote you a poem
In this box with the heart shaped bow
Been waiting for you to finally get home
(ch1)
Little things I Love About You
written by you know who
How you keep the only piece left of your binky blanket
Tucked inside your pillow case
Say candy is a food group, you have an extra sweet tooth
**Say nature/junk food doesn’t like you, have an extra sweet tooth
Never miss a Vet’rans Day parade
Always call your dad on Saturdays
And like this poem I wrote for you
(v2)
I know the title don’t put a scare in Hallmark
But at least the first line isn’t Roses Are Red
Don’t judge me for sometimes mixing tenses
When sittin’ next you during English as my defense
Should’ve quit rewriting it
Way before version number 6
Always gonna be some I’m adding to the list
(2nd chorus)
Little things I love ‘bout you…. (diff melody than 1st chorus)
How you wear your grandmas apron
Whenever your making
Her blue ribbon apple pie **Her blue ribbon winnin’ pie
Make me laugh till it hurts
Think funner is a fun word,
For a scrabble rematch night
The diff’rent beautiful your get
Holding your cousin’s baby to your chest
And like this poem I wrote for you
Bridge:
It’s not store bought sweet talk
But straight to you from my heart
Lines I tried to rhyme…
(Last chorus)
Little things I Love About You… (same melody as 1st chorus)
How you keep the only piece left of your binky blanket
Tucked inside your pillow case
Say candy is a food group, you have an extra sweet tooth
Never miss a Vet’rans Day parade
Always call your dad on Saturdays
And love this poem I wrote for you
this poem I wrote for you
Glad I wrote this poem
****Old lyric but has the chords
