Backstory:

A friend of mine was telling me about a woman he was interested in. He mentioned that she was very particular, liked things a certain way, didn't tolerate fools well. So, I cracked, 'sounds like she's high maintenance.' He laughed and agreed, then went on to tell me about how she always seemed to have a problem with her answering machine in spite of the fact that he'd assisted her with it on more than one occasion. So, I responded with, 'so she's low tech!' Somehow, a title formed, "High Maintenance, Low Tech" and stayed with me for weeks. I didn't think I could do anything with it, but decided that maybe by writing a song with that title would get it out of my head. My friend really appreciated the song!
