They line-dance in the sawdust down at Woody’s.
Or, you can dance up close with your gal down at Woody’s.
Then somebody has to start a fight; it happens almost every night!
That’s why it’s always crowded down at Woody’s.

The music’s always fine down at Woody’s.
You can hear those guitars whine down at Woody’s.
The band is always right and they’re usually pretty tight.
You can have a mighty good time down at Woody’s.

They don’t have fancy drinks down at Woody’s.
If you ask for one they’ll all laugh down at Woody’s.
Plain ole whiskey and beer is all they serve in there.
Don’t be ordering any French wine down at Woody’s.

You gotta get outta town to get to Woody’s.
It’s only ‘bout five miles out to Woody’s.
At the fork just hang right an’ soon it’ll be in sight.
Come on out an’ I’ll see you down at Woody’s.
