Backstory:
After my mother died, I started thinking about how the human heart is so fragile but at the same time it's strong enough that we can recover from tragedy and become strong again. This song will be the title song of my upcoming CD that I'll be recording in the fall.
Lyrics:
* GLASS AND STONE
THE MOON AND ORION ARE WATCHING HER FLYING TONIGHT
ON THE RED-EYE TO DALLAS TO GET TO HER MOTHER’S SIDE
YEARS SPENT IN CONFLICT JUST MELT WITH THE TOUCH OF A HAND
ONE SAYS, I’M SORRY THE OTHER SAYS I UNDERSTAND
CHORUS:
SOMETIMES THE BEST
COMES WITH THE WORST
EACH DAY WE FACE THE UNKNOWN
BUT WE HOLD ON TO LIFE
FOR ALL THAT IT’S WORTH
WE’RE FRAGILE AND STRONG
LIKE GLASS AND STONE
THE MOON AND ORION ARE WATCHING HER CRYING TONIGHT
SHE WISHES HER MAMA COULD SEE HOW SHE SPARKLES IN WHITE
THIS FIRST PERFECT DANCE IN THE ARMS OF THE MAN OF HER DREAMS
MAKE THE TEARS ON HER CHEEK ALL AT ONCE BOTH BITTER AND SWEET
(TO CHORUS:)
BRIDGE:
HEALING AND HURTING ARE BEATING WITHIN EVERY HEART
(REPEAT CHORUS)
