Twelve years old in the front pew
Grandmaw by my side
We listened to that sermon
On how to live our lives
Preacher Jones said there are those

Grandmaw served food to the homeless   
Til her body grew too weak 
Church was packed at her funeral
Just  like I knew it would be
Folks from the  Corner Mission came
Who’d never set a foot in a church
And two were saved that day
Proof the grace of God works
