    Backstory:
We were sitting around, playing with ideas, trying to find a lyric that would make us smile and cry, and we found it. We wanted to write a song for all seasons - young people leaving home, friends and family being parted, older generations passing - something to touch many hearts.

    Lyrics:

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU (IRISH BLESSING) Chorus May the road rise to meet you May the wind be at your back May the sunlight fall upon your face And the rain fall on your land And if ever we are parted, then until we meet again May God hold you in the hollow of his hand May God hold you in the hollow of his hand V1 Fellow travelers, where will we go Seeds may scatter where ere the four winds blow Some will settle near, some will travel far Wherever life may take you, take these words to heart Chorus May the road rise to meet you May the wind be at your back May the sunlight fall upon your face And the rain fall on your land And if ever we are parted, then until we meet again May God hold you in the hollow of his hand May God hold you in the hollow of his hand V2 To health and happiness, to love that knows no end To warm nights by the fire with all your kith and kin Before this moment passes, let’s all of us draw close Raise our glasses high and share this simple toast Chorus May the road rise to meet you May the wind be at your back May the sunlight fall upon your face And the rain fall on your land And if ever we are parted, then until we meet again May God hold you in the hollow of his hand May God hold you in the hollow of his hand (repeat chorus)
