Backstory:

This is part I of In the Eyeballs Borrowed from Dali                                                                                                                               
It’s intentionally non-linear, not a story. It’s surrealistic piece built on imagery and associations it revokes. What would one see from the  eyeballs of a surrealist.

Butterflies is an order of beautiful creatures
Is the result of the heavens in a seasonal molt
Rather possesses celestial delicate features
As an angelic attempt of the spirit to reach us

Who sent his son to bleed alone
And then archangels came along

Maybe the night raises hackles of stars in the bluster
Could be a moth shedding shimmering dust off its wings
Lulling the planets with shivering clusters of luster
Bearing ephemeral bliss and delaying disasters

But too late to revert 
We’ll all wake up 
In a wasteland
