    Backstory:
I was watching Goldfinger and he was contaminating the gold supply. The song hook for Fool's Gold came to me and I thought about how I went panning for gold in Dahlonega, Ga, and how they sold Fool's Gold in their gift shop. So I thought it would be a cute idea to make a song about how a young woman gets tricked by a manipulative scheming man out of her money. She thinks she's getting a great guy in the beginning, but by the end of the relationship, she realizes she's only invested in a fake relationship and her man was like Fool's Gold, worthless!

    Lyrics:

Fool’s Gold Janet Devers He conned me with a wink of an eye I felt weak when he strutted on by He knew he looked just like a Greek god Blond hair, green eyes, Tall, Tall, Tall He fed me one of his cheap lines He mesmerized my mind I was a fool sold on Fool’s Gold He called me when he needed a friend He took me from beginning to end I never once suspected a thing Even though I paid for everything Caviar, expensive wines He billed me every time I was a fool sold on Fool’s Gold Bridge He looked so perfect I thought I had struck my Fort Knox What was I thinking? My head was full of nothing but rocks! He bought me a red, shiny jaguar But I’ve made all the payments so far. He jetted me to Venice last June He’ll pay off my Visa real soon! I financed his get rich schemes But now I’m eatin’ beans I was a fool sold on Fool’s Gold Repeat Bridge He hocked my diamond engagement ring We have a court date set for this spring He doesn’t know what’s gotten to me I told him tell it to Judge Judy Tag So my advice to you is be careful what you do! I was a fool sold on Fool’s Gold I was a fool sold on Fool’s Gold Don’t be a fool sold on Fool’s Gold
