It was a routine flight for Dan
A decorated veteran of Vietnam
But things were soon to get scary

With the denim and all the rest

About an hour or so into the flight
The plane lost power
Began to sink in the night

In a stirring exhibition of skill
Dan deftly planted the nose
Into a side of a hill
And in a crash like thunder
The plane was smashed asunder

When Dan finally opened his eyes,
He had two busted legs 
But he was still alive

It seems her ticker couldn't take it
