    Backstory:
Relationships are like a puzzle in which all the pieces have to fit but when they do they create a beautiful picture. This song reflects that metaphor as he looks back on his relationship and the man he became from the innocence they shared. This song is part of the Round the Globe project and was co-written by Clare Steffen and Paul DeMarco. Performed & Music Production by Paul DeMarco.

    Lyrics:

V1 As the winter rolls in And the sky turns grey I think of you so far away Rememberin’ that crooked smile  And the brightness in your eyes  Draws me near across the miles   V2 Our time together went too soon We'd share a smile, a laugh or two As we sat under the moon Playing games of truth or dare Easy times without a care   Chorus Life pieces, crafted from the past Like a jigsaw puzzle... solved at last I look and see you everywhere And the plans that we'd share Life pieces living on, inside of us V3 At the start of each new day Lookin' at the shapes, tucked away Deep in this heart of mine Waitin' for a light to shine And find the edges in the sky Will our love fit as time goes by V4 I look and see A perfect image, in my mind And I see you as I once did And I feel like I’m a kid Waitin’ at the door Till you come home once more   Chorus Life pieces, crafted from the past Like a jigsaw puzzle... solved at last I look and see you everywhere And the plans that we'd share Life pieces living, inside of us V5 You had to know that I loved you Now I know, you know it's true Each piece would fit, with you I grew Into the guy who wants to show I still love you   Outro As the winter rolls in And the sky turns grey I think of you so far away   Fade Out Life pieces   Crafted from the past Life piece  Placed together at last
