Backstory:
This song is a tribute to Robert Johnson He played at every Juke joint in town. In time, he became the King and is thought of as the grandfather of Rock and Roll. He sold his soul at the crossroads to master the Blues. Music & Production by Aira Winterland (Brazil), Vocals and Lyrics by Clare Steffen (USA). This song is an extended version, and I would suggest ending it at around 4:22, because the second chorus doesn't add anything new to the song, it could ended there or if remixed, just add and outro and cut the second chorus.
Lyrics:
V1
Mississippi Delta grabbed a hold of me
It was at the crossroads I sold my soul
So I could master the blues, the rest is history
Some called me the grandfather of rock and roll
V2
I played at every Juke joint in town
In time, I became the King
Every night I brought the house down
Folks said that I could sing
Chorus
I was a country boy turned ladies' man
That got me in trouble more than once
It might have put an end to my life
After three days, life was gone from me
I'll live on as the first modern bluesman
Who knew his craft back to front
Sweet Home Chicago was a city filled with strife
But I really loved that intensity
'Cause I'm a bluesman
With those Breakin' Down Blues
Post Chorus
My guitar was my second voice
'Cause I could really make her sing
V3
Clapton said my music's soulful
So I guess I became a legacy
I was more than some honey-tongued fool
Terraplane blues was my destiny
Pre-Chorus
Carnegie Hall might have called to me
But I had those Walkin'Blues
With those Breakin's Down Blues
Outro
I'm a bluesman
That's my legacy
