Backstory:

My daughter has always been close to her grandmothers.  This is a story song about the special relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter.

My grandma was so good to me growing up
On my birthdays she made me feel like such a special kid
She would bring me purses, jewelry and other cool girl stuff
But there was one more thing she always did

She brought me a red balloon
A card would come with it that said:

When high school graduation came, Grandma wasn't feelin' well
