Backstory:
I wrote a lyric with Dolly in mind and I generated an AI version just as an idea until we get the lyrics and music ideas figured out. Currently, there is not a musical intro and I am thinking there will be about a sweet 15 second intro (piano, guitar, etc.). There is not much music separating the verses from the chorus, but I will address that when I get the music composed. I can add a lift to the chorus, and then a little instrumental break to separate the chorus and V3. In the lyrics in V3, I made a shift from the general to the specific, but thought it worked as if she were telling the listener, this is what I do and in the bridge she would return to a more general message. I know the lyrics in the bridge are not entirely different but I was looking to tie back into a more general message. I generated other AI versions of the song that did a better job with the intro and creating an interesting musical break between verses/verse-chorus. This particular version sounded more like Dolly in the way in which she would deliver the song so I used it as a sample. In the end, I will have a more interesting musical track composed, but thought this was a good place to map out the lyrics and what to do musically. This one has a Country Pop flavor perhaps more than a straight up Pop, which I wanted to discuss.
Lyrics:
V1
Gather round the table
Never forget your roots
Family, faith, and Fables
There are no substitutes
V2
We all want to be accepted
Differences are my patch quilt
Loving hearts keep us connected
Let's break down the walls we've built
Chorus
Come from a place of love
Being dirt poor is no disgrace
Hold on to your visions
We're not defined by any place
Whatever you're in search of
Come from a place of love
V3
Even when the struggle is real
The Smokies always call me home
Mama taught me how to feel
My spirit returns wherever I roam
[Instrumental bridge]
Bridge
Having next to nothing
Can be a good place to start
Have a fearless heart
Chorus
Come from a place of love
Being dirt poor is no disgrace
Hold on to your visions
We're not defined by any place
Whatever you're in search of
Come from a place of love
Outro
Come from a place of love
Come from a place of love
