Please re-read the lead with updates. Street Pitch guest and veteran music publisher with multiple current cuts on major artists is seeking songs for an anonymous Major Label Female Artist(s). What I've been receiving is too progressive and Pop-ish. The word "modern" may have thrown you off. I don't want tracks, but solid Country Music with great melodies. No Honky-Tonk. Mid-Up Tempos. No Ballads. Think authentic/classic-sounding and melodic with an idea and lyrics that would work for a 20-something in TODAY'S market. Listen to Ashley Monroe's songs. Brandy Clark's songs, Band Perry's music. Imagine a 2025 Kitty Lane, or Tammy Wynette, or Loretta Lynn's great storytelling - those kind of undeniable hits, but with today's vibe. Even KT- Olsin type story songs with that strong woman lyric. Chris Stapleton's "TN Whiskey" is classic-sounding true Country, yet it's also "today's Country"(but don't pitch me THAT SONG. a) Clean, positive, happy, fun, lighthearted, uplifting family-oriented songs (nothing sad or too slow) of any genre including instrumentals to be played on "overhead radio" in malls, stores, airports, convention centers and restaurants.
b) Also, songs with genres and styles typically played in bars, nightclubs, lounges, casinos, cruise ships etc. Nothing too loud too fast or too rock, lyrics must be clean, no swearing or foul language, vocals must be English language.
Please read TERMS before submitting: "If I express interest in your song, I would be administering the publishing only. If your song is co-written all writers must agree to these terms: You will keep your publishing and your master rights. Your songs will not be distributed for sync opportunities or distributed for any internet royalties, compilation CD's, Spotify etc. These opportunities are non-exclusive DIRECT LICENSING which means royalties will be paid directly to my account in a folder in your name and you will receive 50% of the direct licensing royalties.
